Blox Fruits Awakening Guide: Fragment Costs and What Changes

This Blox Fruits Awakening Guide covers what awakening rebuilds, what it costs and what it will not do for you. Awakening replaces a fruit's moveset rather than raising a stat, and you pay for it in Fragments earned from raids, from roughly 9,500 for the cheapest fruit to about 24,500 for Dragon. Published costs, Fragment farming rates, and the parts of the process no source we found actually documents are all below.

What awakening actually does

Awakening replaces a fruit's moves with stronger reworked versions rather than adding a percentage to its damage. Each fruit has its abilities spread across the M1, Z, X, C and G slots, and awakening upgrades those slots individually, which is why a partially awakened fruit is a real state, not just progress towards a switch that flips at the end.

Spending order matters more, because the upgrade is per-move and than total spend early on. The published cost split puts most of a fruit's price in two slots, so the first Fragments you commit buy the cheapest and least transformative upgrades.

Share of a fruit's total awakening cost by move slot.
Slot Share of total cost
Awakened C ~38%
Awakened X ~31%
Awakened Z ~17%
Awakened M1 ~10%
G slot ~4%

Those shares are approximate in the source and do not sum to exactly 100%, so treat them as a guide to which slot is expensive rather than as exact per-move prices.

Fragment cost to fully awaken each fruit

Totals below come from RBLXGuide awakening guide, which states it was last updated 2026-04-26 and which we read on 2026-09-07.

Total Fragment cost to fully awaken each awakenable fruit, cheapest first.
Fruit Total Fragments Note
Light 9,500
Magma 11,500
Dark 14,500
Ice 14,500
Sand 16,500
Flame 17,500
Quake 18,500
String 18,500 Listed by the source as "String" but absent from our tradeable roster, so we cannot match it to a fruit on this site.
Buddha 18,500
Phoenix 18,500
Lightning 19,500 The source still calls this "Rumble"; our dataset records it as Lightning.
Paw 22,500 Listed by the source as "Paw" but absent from our tradeable roster, so we cannot match it to a fruit on this site.
Dough 23,500
Dragon 24,500 Our roster splits Dragon into its separately traded West and East forms; the source quotes one awakening cost for the fruit rather than one per form.

Published totals disagree for Dough. The table above lists 23,500, while Games.gg awakening walkthrough gives 18,500 broken down as Pummel 2,500 + Blast 3,000 + Spin 3,500 + Bounce 3,500 + Transformation 6,000. We have no way to establish which figure is current, so both are shown rather than one being picked quietly. Budget for the higher number and treat the difference as slack.

The same source states that Kitsune, Tiger, Control, Venom, Gas do not use standard awakening at all. If you are holding one of those expecting to awaken it the usual way, that expectation is the thing to check first.

Where Fragments come from

Fragments are raid currency, so awakening speed is really a question of which raid you can clear repeatedly rather than how much Beli you have.

Fragment farming rates by source.
Source Published rate
Order Raid (Second Sea) ~250 / hour
Cake Raid ~200 / hour
Magma Sea Boss ~150 / hour
Flower Raid ~100 / hour

At the top published rate, the cheapest fruit on the list is roughly forty hours of farming and Dragon is closer to a hundred. The same source notes a weekend yield of 4,000–5,000 Fragments while a 2× multiplier is active, which is the single largest lever on that timeline.

Two things we could not confirm. Neither the mastery level required per move nor the name and location of the awakening NPC is stated by the source we used, and we are not going to guess at either. Check in-game before committing Fragments, since a mastery gate you have not met will hold up a purchase you have already saved for.

What awakening does to a fruit's trade value

Awakening does not travel with the fruit, so it does not raise what that specific copy is worth in a trade. Awakening progress is recorded against the account that paid the Fragments rather than against the item, which means a buyer receiving your fruit starts from their own awakening state, not yours, and "awakened Dough" is a description of your account, not of the thing in the trade window.

That is why the calculator has no awakened toggle. Adding one would imply awakened status is a property of the item being swapped, and a verdict built on that premise would be wrong in the buyer's favour every time. Value figures in the database price the fruit itself for exactly this reason.

Where awakening moves value is indirectly and at the level of the whole fruit: when a rework makes an awakened form strong, demand for that fruit rises across the board, and the value follows. Combat placements track which awakened forms are currently strong, and several entries there are ranked specifically in their awakened state.

Weighing the Fragment cost against simply trading for something already strong is the other way to spend the same effort, and compare the two fruits in the checker. The Fragment price of awakening is not a trade value, but the fruit you would otherwise trade away does have one.
