Why this is not a ranked list

A single ranking would have to assume everyone is optimising for the same thing, and traders are not. Somebody with one Legendary and no stock needs a fruit that is easy to reach and easy to move on; somebody sitting on a Dragon form needs a fruit that will still be worth something in a month. Those two answers have almost nothing in common.

This guide is opinionated by design, which makes it the odd page out on this site. The value database states what things are worth without telling you what to do, and the combat rankings judge fighting strength without pricing anything. What follows is a judgement built on top of both.

Best first real trade: 🧘 Buddha

Buddha is the cheapest fruit on the board that other traders reliably want, which is the combination a beginner needs: you can reach it without a Mythical to trade away, and you will not be stuck with it. Its grinding utility keeps a steady stream of buyers who are not traders at all, just players who want it to farm with.

Skip it if you already own something Mythical. Trading down into Buddha to "get started" wastes the position you already have.

Best for fast re-trades: 🐍 Venom

Venom pairs maximum demand with a mid-table value, so it clears quickly without tying up a fortune. High demand is really a statement about waiting time rather than worth, and a fruit at 10/10 finds an offer in the time a top-tier fruit takes to find a serious one.

Skip it if you want the value to grow while you hold it. Fruits this liquid are liquid precisely because plenty of people have one.

Best long-term hold: 🦊 Kitsune

Kitsune sits at the top of the demand scale among fruits below the Dragon forms, which makes it the most defensible large position on the board. A hold only works if you can exit it later, and demand is the part of that equation you can actually read in advance.

Skip it if you may need to trade in the next few days. Large positions move slowly and you will take a worse price for being in a hurry.

Best fruit that also fights: 🍩 Dough

Dough is the clearest overlap between the two rankings: strong trade demand and a top combat placement once awakened. Most fruits are good at one of those, and buying for both at once is only sensible when a single fruit genuinely does both.

Skip it if you are not going to awaken it. Its combat reputation is specifically about the awakened form, so an unawakened copy is a trading asset that happens to be usable.

Best value per Beli spent: 🕳️ Portal

Portal is the widest gap on the board between what the dealer charges and what traders will give you for it, which makes it the most efficient way to convert Beli into trading position. Dealer stock is the one place where a fixed price meets a floating value.

Skip it if you need the fruit itself to be useful to you. Buying for the spread means planning to trade it away, and its demand rating is good rather than exceptional.

The trade-off nobody advertises

Demand and appreciation pull against each other. A fruit everybody wants is easy to trade away today, which is the same fact as plenty of people having one, and that is not the profile of something whose value climbs. The fruits that gain are usually the ones that are briefly awkward to hold, and being early on one means accepting that you cannot exit quickly if you are wrong.

Nothing in this guide helps with that timing, because predicting which fruit gets reworked next is guessing. What you can control is not paying a rushed price: run the offer through the checker before accepting, and read a Slight Loss you take on purpose as a decision rather than a mistake.

One cost this guide has deliberately left out of every recommendation: two of the picks above are stronger awakened than unawakened, and awakening is paid for in Fragments rather than traded for.
